Dr. Joseph Botta is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and has practiced medicine since 1997. With nearly three decades of experience serving Northeast Connecticut, he is respected for providing thoughtful, individualized care and building enduring relationships with his patients and the community.
Since 2009, Dr. Botta has led an outpatient primary care practice providing comprehensive care in office, home, hospital, and nursing-home settings. His career reflects extensive experience in clinical leadership, medical oversight, preventive care, and patient advocacy, with an emphasis on understanding the whole person rather than treating a single condition.
As Medical Director of Botta Medical Aesthetics & Wellness (BMAW), Dr. Botta provides medical guidance and oversight to support the safety and clinical integrity of the practice. He evaluates new clients, collaborates with the nursing team to develop individualized plans of care, and helps ensure that services are provided responsibly by qualified, licensed professionals.
Dr. Botta also plays an integral role in BMAW’s THRIVE Weight Management Program. His knowledge of internal medicine, geriatrics, metabolic health, and medication management helps clients better understand their health and make informed decisions as they work toward meaningful, sustainable change.
Through his leadership, BMAW remains grounded in evidence-based medicine, thoughtful clinical judgment, and a commitment to helping each client improve their health, confidence, and quality of life.
In addition to serving as Medical Director at Botta Medical Aesthetics & Wellness, Dr. Botta is the founder of Northeast Concierge Medicine, his separate primary care practice in Putnam. Through Northeast Concierge Medicine, he provides personalized internal medicine and geriatric care with a focus on prevention, chronic disease management, cardiovascular health, healthy aging, and medically supervised weight management.
