The BMAW Story: From PediCure RN to BMAW
A Vision Rooted in Care
For Elizabeth Botta, RN, caring for others has always been more than a profession. Over more than 30 years in nursing, Liz came to understand how deeply people want to feel heard, understood, and confident in the care they receive.
In 2017, she founded PediCure RN of Northeast Connecticut to meet a significant need for professional foot and nail care in the community. What began as a specialized nursing service soon became something more. By combining clinical skill with education, compassion, and personal attention, Liz built trusted relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
That experience inspired a broader vision: a welcoming practice where medical expertise, aesthetics, education, and whole-person wellness could come together.
Bringing the Vision to Life
In 2021, Liz founded Botta Medical Aesthetics & Wellness, with her husband, Dr. Joseph Botta, serving as Medical Director. She envisioned a different kind of practice—one where people would never feel rushed, pressured, or reduced to a single concern. BMAW was created to provide thoughtful guidance, honest recommendations, and care that considers each client’s health, goals, lifestyle, and individual needs.
As the practice grew, so did its services and team. Medical aesthetics, THRIVE Weight Management, advanced skin care, laser services, and medical pedicures came together under one roof, connected by a shared philosophy: listen first, educate clearly, and help each person make informed decisions about their care.
Growing With Our Community
In June 2025, BMAW moved into a beautifully renovated 3,500-square-foot location in downtown Putnam. We celebrated the opening with Putnam’s mayor and representatives from the Putnam Business Association and the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.
The expanded space was thoughtfully designed to support personalized care, professional education, wellness classes, community events, and meaningful connection.
More than a medical aesthetics and wellness practice, BMAW has become a place where clients feel known, supported, and encouraged. It is also a place where our team can teach, connect, and share practical information that helps people take greater ownership of their health and well-being.
BMAW continues to grow, but its purpose remains the same: to provide thoughtful care in an environment that feels welcoming and personal.
